One class, not a rewrite

Dealerware

Built the Volvo inventory pipeline once; Nissan needed one class to plug in.

Problem

Vehicle inventory tracking ran on a fragile AWS pipeline (SNS/SQS/Go) that broke under new requirements and couldn’t scale to additional OEM brands without significant rework.

Action

Replaced it with an agnostic vehicle-inventory system, first built out fully for Volvo as the base implementation.

Result

When Nissan needed the same capability, it required one additional class — not a new pipeline, not a rewrite. The architecture was later promoted platform-wide and became a feature actively used in Dealerware’s sales pitch to prospective OEM partners.
